About Us

H.H. Yeshe John Seonaidh Perks
H.H. Seonaidh Perks started out as Bonny Johnny Perks, butler and student of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. He closely served Rinpoche for over 7 years and then was sent out to continue to deepen in his practice through teaching and through service to others. When Rinpoche passed, Seonaidh felt called to honor Rinpoche's endless kindness by following through with creating a Celtic Buddhist Lineage in Saxton's River, VT. His center for teaching was called AnaDaire, and his numerous students were from all walks of life. Seonaidh with the help of his students, also published the spiritual memoir "The Mahāsiddha and His Idiot Servant"

Sister Gryphon
Sister Gryphon is the abbess for Glen Ard. She is a student of Yeshe Seonaidh Perks, and a lineage holder within the Celtic Buddhist Lineage. She first trained with Tom Brown, Jr in wilderness skills and spirituality, and later became and worked as a veterinarian. Still feeling a deep unrest, she gave away everything she owned to become a Zen buddhist monk, living and training at Zen Mountain Monastery for 8 years. From there, she continued her journey by living and training with Guru Seonaidh Perks in the tantric Celtic Buddhist teachings. Currently she continues her work serving others both as a veterinarian and as abbess and lineage holder in the Celtic Buddhist tradition.
